Rockwood is our cottage at the lake near Cave Rock on the East Shore of Tahoe in Nevada. The bedrooms and living room all look out upon the lake which is only a stones throw away. Just stroll across a single lane road to a winding path leading through a few tall pines and you are at a private beach. Cave Rock area fishing is about the best at Tahoe due to the multitude of spawn than inhabit the shallow waters. This charming, rustic vacation cottage, was originally built by a geologist who created its walls with rocks of various colors that he had collected in the High Sierra and out in the desert. He built an interesting stone fireplace in the master bedroom and in the living room a wall of rocks of a dozen different colors. We like to call it our Geode, a rock with rustic exterior but with a sparking, colorful and bright interior. The great room has a cozy living area, fully equipped kitchen and a charming dining area. There are fluffy down comforters on the beds for chilly Tahoe nights
There are periods where there is a one week minimum with an advance booking preferred, however we will try hard to fit any length reservation in so please give us a call.
Check out time is 10:00am and Check in time 3:00pm. These times can be flexible depending on when the home is booked again. Please call us if you have a request.
