RA and Family Summer 2012

A soft, end of summer breeze, the rustling sound of Quaking aspen, the surrounding Sugar pine, Jeffrey pine and true fir that enhanced the 180 degree view of the area from King's Beach to the tunnel just before one gets to Zephyr Cove all made for complete relaxation while sitting on the spacious deck. Noise from the lake was so slight as to be a pleasure to hear. Watching the sailing boats tacking back from trips to South Tahoe added even more pleasure. The facility was complete, comfortable and roomy, the barbecue was a nice bonus as was the new Dollar Point swimming pool area. We river rafted, took a 2 hour horse ride, had a paddle wheel adventure with Mark Twain & enjoyed the Kings Beach Arts & Crafts show. We have rented several times over the past 30 years, this was by far the best experience we've had. Thank you, "Alice" where ever you are.

We had another great vacation in North Tahoe! We LOVED Snowed Inn - what a beautiful, large home! It was the perfect size for our family and our kids' significant others....including the second master bedroom for the newlyweds! The location was ideal for activities in the area - Kings Beach, Carnelian Bay, hiking (5 Lakes, Martis Creek, Spur View), fishing at Prosser, paddle boarding, mountain biking and jogging on nearby trails...We've already planned a return for a third consecutive summer vacation, and will most likely book Snowed Inn again.

We just wanted to let you know how much fun we had this weekend up in Tahoe!!! We're so glad we ended up going (despite the road & weather reports); it was one of the most memorable trips ever!!! We've never seen so much snow and our kids just LOVED it!!! We didn't have to leave the property to go find a snow park; we had one right in front of the house...the snow piles were so high, we built a sledding trail, and our kids were sledding non-stop on Saturday and Sunday!!! It was awesome!!!...and not to mention, the Agate Vista Chalet was PERFECT!!! It by far exceeded our expectations!!! It was such a cozy and comfortable place for all of us!!! We LOVED IT!!! The decor and layout of the chalet was a true Tahoe experience!!! Thank you so much for your great customer service!!! We can't wait to go back already!!! Thank you again for everything!!! We had a WONDERFUL week at Abbie's ...bears and all! The cabin was perfect for us and we would definitely like to go back. We enjoyed jogging and walking in the North Tahoe Regional Park just a couple blocks from the cabin. We hiked the 5 Lakes Trail near Alpine Meadows and the Spur View Trail on the Tahoe Rim Trail near Brockway Summit. Both are great hikes for the views and exercise! We fished and kayaked at Prosser Reservoir, just north of Truckee, and we spent time at Kings Beach. It was nice to avoid the traffic and chaos of South Lake Tahoe!

We had the most wonderful time!!!!!!!! The cabin, Gundy's was more than we expected, we even saw a GIANT blonde bear while we were walking PatchMan our Lahso. We walked quickly back to the cabin where we were safe and had my 93 yr old father-in-law watch the bear walk up the path across the street behind the home located there.
I especially want to thank you for all your help finding a make-up artist and hair stylist, I wish they lived here in Long Beach as I would be a faithful customer. Please tell them both that I definitely out shined the ex-wife.
Finally, we hope to be back to the North Shore next year about the same time, without weddings, make-up and hair stylist's. We will definitely stay at Gundy's Getaway, the accommodations were great and the price was more than reasonable.

We have used Waters of Tahoe now for 3 years for over 10 weeks of vacation time. Never had a problem or issue with the properties or with the waters of Tahoe.

Each of the different properties we have used has been well equipment, clean, well maintained and very convenient for all the activities Tahoe has to offer.

Our favorite was the first one in Agate Vista Chalet which has a vaulted living area with tall windows in the front....absolutely superb.

Mischel of Waters of Tahoe has always been a fabulous person to deal with. We highly recommend Waters of Tahoe if you want a hassle free and outstanding vacation in Tahoe, especially if you need properties that are dog friendly.

My sister and I take a winter vacation every year together with our children - and lucky for us we came across this great house Woodcrest. We couldn't believe how well the kitchen was equipped - it had everything. The house is very comfortably furnished, great views and very quiet - the game room was a hit and of course we enjoyed the hot tub. Mischel with Waters of Tahoe was very informative and easy going. This was a terrific vacation! I was a little nervous because this was a surprise for my husband's birthday and I didn't know if it would be as good as it sounded. When we got there we found that Agate Vista Chalet was exactly what I had hoped for. It was clean, neat and had everything to make us feel comfortable. My husband was thrilled and said he could just stay there and not go home.

Everything was wonderful at Ballou's Lake House! Mischel was so helpful in getting our reservations, making a slight change, answering questions, bringing trash bags when we couldn't find them, and returning our deposit! The home on the lake in Carnelian Bay is small, but very homey and a great place to meet family from the East. I would strongly recommend this company and this property. I only wish we could have spent the whole summer!

The boy booked the ski trip through this rental service and we had an overall extremely satisfactory experience. They had a wide selection of dog-friendly cabins, and the area where we ended up at - Carnelian Bay - turned out to be a very dog-friendly area indeed. Pups freely roam the neighborhood where our cabin was situated, and there was many a healthy dog poop lining the snowy trails.

Booking over the Internet is quick and efficient. We received a prompt reply and follow-up call after our first email, and were quickly able to arrange to send in our deposit and book our cabin. Take careful note of the amenities listed for the various properties - the lists for each are long and varied, and it's easy to make assumptions about say - high speed internet being available when it's not ubiquitous for all the cabins listed.

We received explicit instructions once we sent in our deposit, and I have to strongly recommend that you follow the directions provided rather than relying on Goggle Maps.

The cabin we stayed in - Cedar Lodge - was simply gorgeous, immaculate, and spacious, with an amazing modern kitchen (stainless-steel appliances) and large kitchen island - perfect for a group with folks who love to cook and eat. Other places may advertise that a certain property may sleep -- say 10, but 2 may actually end up having to sleep on the couch. This place advertised for 10, and provided a bed for each of 10 folks (a mix of singles and couples) very nicely. The huge couch, too, was a sleeper sofa, so in reality we could have housed 12 quite comfortably. The lease, however, only limited our numbers to the max advertised, on the danger of losing our deposit. We arrived to a nice welcome of complimentary pinot and doggie cookies.

All in all, we'd definitely rent from this company - with their lovely dog-friendly properties - again and again.
